What’s next

Why have we introduced these features?

We’ve been listening to how our customers are currently using their Zentron kiosks and understand that temperature screening is no longer being used in all workplaces as guidance around COVID-19 is relaxed.

Our goal is to transform the temperature kiosk into a comprehensive visitor sign-in system so that our customers can repurpose their kiosks to manage the entry process for visitors, staff, and contractors at their facilities.

These 3 features are the first step towards providing you with a powerful visitor sign-in system.

Touch screen sign-in/out

We recognise that the world is finding its way back to normal. We’re seeing touch screen services being welcomed back into everyday life, whether at the grocery store or in a fast-food restaurant.

With that in mind, we’ve created Touch Mode for the Zentron kiosks. Touch Mode allows users to sign in using the touch screen on Zentron 8 and Zentron 15 kiosks.

When they arrive at your facilities, they can tap the manual sign-in button under the relevant user type to sign in and begin entering their name.

If they have an existing profile, they will select it and finish the sign-in process. A new visitor to your facilities can register their details and create their profile using the on-screen keyboard.

If you have any compliance checks in your sign-in process such as an NDA or questionnaire, the user will complete this quickly on-screen.

Touch Mode can be easily activated or de-activated at any time within the user journey builder. Therefore, if a new wave of COVID-19 was to hit and you wanted to limit touch contact again, you can easily switch to non-touch processes again.

What are the benefits of Touch Mode?

Prevent visitors from entering without logging their details

Touch Mode gives you a self-service visitor logging system. You no longer have to accept walk-in visitors without collecting their details. There is now a simple and fast way for users to register their details on your kiosk as they enter. You now have full visibility of every individual who has entered your facilities.

Eliminate manual admin work

Eliminate the admin burden of adding visitors to your user lists manually via the kiosk or dashboard as visitors can enter their own details and create a profile directly on the kiosks.

Repeat visits are simplified

For visitors who access your facilities on a regular basis, their sign-in process is quick and easy. The kiosk will store their profile and the next time they sign in they simply enter their name and select their profile from the matching profile list.

Offer multiple ways for users to sign in

Touch Mode can be used in conjunction with other sign-in methods, including facial recognition, RFID and QR code, so users have the option to sign in using their preferred method.

This is adaptable to your different user types. For example, you could have Touch Mode and RFID enabled for the staff user journey, and Touch Mode and QR code enabled for the visitor user journey.

Alternatively, Touch Mode can be the sole sign-in method available on your kiosks.

QuickPass QR code sign-in

QuickPass is a QR code entry pass which allows users to sign in by scanning the QuickPass on the Zentron 8 or Zentron 15 kiosks.

When users approach the kiosk, they are instructed to scan the QR code shown on the kiosk screen to get their QuickPass.

Users can then fill out their details on the online form using their mobile device. When they submit their details, the user will receive a QuickPass QR code.

Quickpass on mobile

Then the user simply needs to scan the QuickPass on the built-in QR code reader at the bottom right corner of the device to sign in.

The kiosk will read and store the details from the QuickPass.

The pass is valid for 7 days, so users can easily use the same pass for multiple visits.

What are the benefits of QuickPass?

Quick sign-in for repeat visits

A user’s QuickPass is valid for 7 days so repeat visitors can sign in quickly by scanning their QR code, without having to re-enter their details or use the touch screen to find their profile.

Touchless sign-in

QuickPass is a great way for you to gather details on everyone who signs into your facilities, whilst keeping the entry process non-touch.

Store your QuickPass for easy access

You can easily download and save your QuickPass to your mobile device for easy access. Your details are encrypted on the QuickPass so your data is secure.

VisiPoint Passport

VisiPoint passport users can sign in swiftly and easily at any VisiPoint ready site.

Users simply scan their passport QuickPass on entry and the kiosk will retrieve their profile details.

Within their passport account users can:

  • Access and download their passport QuickPass (which never expires!)
  • View their entry logs – a log of everywhere they have signed in and when
  • Access any company dashboards they have admin privileges for

Users can login to their passport account via any device with a browser – such as their mobile device or PC.

What are the benefits of a VisiPoint Passport account?

A QuickPass that never expires

VisiPoint Passport QuickPass

This QuickPass is linked to your VisiPoint passport account and as long as you have your passport account, you’ll have access to this QuickPass. This means, unlike a regular QuickPass that expires after seven days, you won’t have to generate a new QuickPass when you want to sign in again after the 7 days have passed.

You can save your passport QuickPass to your mobile device to sign in instantly at any kiosk.

Real-time personal logs

Keep track of the locations you have signed into with your personal real-time logs. You can see the exact time, date and area you signed into, and you can filter the grid based on site and area.

Easy access to company dashboards

All company dashboards that you are an admin member of will be displayed in your VisiPoint passport account so you can access them easily from one central account hub. With such easy access to your dashboards, a VisiPoint passport can help you to work more efficiently as you can swap between your company dashboards with ease, making changes where needed.

What’s next

We aren’t stopping there.

Here are a couple of features to look out for in the near future:

  • Sign-out functionality
  • Integration with Azure Active Directory
  • Timesheet reports
  • Emergency roll call lists

We are always looking to provide features that meet the needs of our customers, which is why we continually develop our product roadmap. If you have any requests, please submit a new idea here.

In the meantime, we’re here to help you implement these new features in your sign-in process. You will need to update your kiosks to the latest version (5.6.2).

Full how-to guides on these features are available on our online help centre.
