A leading logistics company was having problems managing sorting and distribution staff work across nine different zones within Bahrain’s busy airport. Staff have tight deadlines based on flight schedules. Managing the incoming and outgoing flights to ensure all packages and parcels are loaded on time had become difficult to manage.

SOLUTION

After consultation and extensive user research to understand the client’s user requirements, we installed:

  • A visually engaging and intuitive cross platform web based user interface onto the clients existing network.
  •  Ten 55” LED TVs displaying accurate flight times, countdown timer, video & RSS feed and corporate information.
  •  Fully responsive back-end web system, optimised for all screen sizes, from desktop to a mobile device.
  •  A full administrator panel for the client to setup and use internally
  •  Daily, Weekly or Monthly reports emailed to the management team to manage the employee process and identify areas of improvement.
  •  Daily data sheets uploaded onto the system to create a streamlined data input onto the system to be displayed on the digital signage display.

Large branded screens in each of the ten airport zones now provide an easy-to-read interface for clients employees. Up to three active flight times are clearly displayed with a countdown, current time, queued flights, video feed, and zone title and status.

RESULTS

Staff efficiency and customer satisfaction has dramatically improved as a result of the time-management system, and the solution is capable of being rolled out to other airports and facilities.
